The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is offering a special scholarship called PMSSS (Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme) for students who live in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Who Can Get This Scholarship?

To be able to apply for the AICTE PMSSS Scholarship 2025, you need to meet these conditions:

• You must be from Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh.
• You must have passed your 12th class from a school in J&K or Ladakh that is connected to JKBOSE or CBSE.
• Your family’s total income should not be more than ₹ 8 Lakh per year.
• You should be taking admission in a college outside of J&K and Ladakh that is approved by AICTE for this scholarship.
• You should be applying for a regular degree course, which could be in:
  • General studies (like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc.)
  • Professional courses (like Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Architecture, Law in National Law Colleges)
  • Medical courses (like BDS, but not MBBS)

How to Apply Online

If you think you are eligible, here are the steps to apply for the AICTE PMSSS Scholarship 2025:

• Go to the official AICTE website.
• Find the section for “PMSSS Scholarship for J&K and Ladakh Students”.
• Click on the link for “Registration for 12th Pass Students”.
• Fill in all the details they ask for in the online form.
• You will need to upload copies of some documents, like:
  • Your photo and signature
  • Your Domicile Certificate (proof you live in J&K or Ladakh)
  • Your Category Certificate (if you belong to a special category)
  • Your mark sheets from your 12th class
  • Your Aadhaar Card
  • Your family income certificate
• After filling the form and uploading the documents, click on “Register”.
• You will get a login ID and password. Use these to log in again.
• Complete the rest of the application form, double-check all the information, and then submit it.

What Happens After You Apply?

After you apply, AICTE will check if you are eligible. If you are, they will make a list of students who can get the scholarship. They might also have a counseling process to help you choose a college. The scholarship money will then be given to you to help with your college fees and living expenses.
